Search consultancy are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join an instantly recognisable, professional Accountancy Practice based in Dundee on a permanent basis.

The idea candidate will have prior experience working within an Accountancy Practice, specifically with the preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders, preparing accounts for small charities and VAT returns

The successful candidate will also be educated to HND, AAT or ACCA part-qualified and have advanced accounts preparation experience and skills, preferably within a professional practice. Experience with Sage, Quickbooks, & Xero, packages is not essential but would be advantageous.

Duties include:

Prepare annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Prepare and examine accounts for small charities
Prepare management accounts from client cashbooks and liaise with clients, as necessary
Prepare VAT returns
Attend and work at client premises, as necessary
Establish a professional and confident working relationship with clients, dealing with telephone enquiries timeously, escalating queries as appropriate, in order to maintain the Firm's reputation and business opportunities
