Responsibilities:-
  • Responsible for all financial shared services i.e. Financial Accounting, Controlling and Reporting, Payables, Receivables, Fixed asset, Treasury, Tax, Insurance and Risk Management.
  • Act as the Finance Business Partner and provide financial analysis for all support functions in Malaysia and continuously monitor their efficiencies.
  • Maximize shareholder value where possible by highlighting areas of improvements and cost cutting
  • Manage accounting and finance systems by maintain full and accurate data and automate process by continuously reviewing them on regular intervals.
  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statement and reports for efficient decision making.
  • Own implementation of working capital, treasury, and tax strategies in line with Corporate objectives. To strategize and implement the best taxation structure for both companies.
  • Actively participate in key projects such as M&As, expansion of Novugen & Oncogen Business in USA and other markets, product/category acquisition/divestments, Capex etc., providing input to business case development and general financial and business expertise.
  • Ensure compliance with financial legislation (Employment Standards, Tax Laws, Corporate Laws, IFRS, etc.) policies and procedures and ensure that the organization is complaint.
  • Maintain/ enhance relationships with foreign as well as local banks to ensure that the business benefits in terms of the best rates on cash placements and trade finance and achieves efficiency through implementing appropriate cash management products.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as external auditors, financial, corporate & regulatory bodies, legal & taxation authorities, and other business associates.
  • Liaise and develop relationship with MIDA for grant. Ensure timely and accurate submission of claims.
  • Responsible for Insurance and risk management of all company's tangible and intangible assets.
  • Internal Audit & Compliance: Lead and establish the internal audit and compliance team. Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial and legal policies and procedure
Requirements:-
  • Ability to lead & groom a team in a fast pace working environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory and problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills in both written & spoken English.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems. Have the knowledge of the principles, processes, and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.
  • Able to transition between a manual to a more advanced systemized work environment.
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/ Account, and/or a Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, MIA etc) or Equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of total work experience, of which 2 years should be post professional qualification.
  • Experience with financial accounting systems would be advantageous, especially SAP.
  • Candidate with experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing background will have an advantage.
