A growing business in the ever-growing Cambridge IT sector, this a business that has strong plans in place for consistent growth over the coming years. Very specialised within the sector, there is a small finance team that is close knit and highly involved within the business. In an easily commutable location in Cambridge, ideal for anyone located in the local area or someone who would be able to commute upon the ending of lock down.

Description

The Assistant Accountant duties and responsibilities:

  • Management of the purchase ledger alongside the finance team
  • Preparation of Daily Cash Flow forecasts and posting of Bank Journals
  • Preparation of monthly reporting packs for company
  • Involvement in the preparation of Management Information Packs
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations and monthly reporting packs
  • Production of inter-company statements and liaising with subsidiary companies
  • Responsibility for weekly journals and production of accruals and prepayments
  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register for overheads
  • Weekly production of reports for management
  • Reconciliation of credit card statements and transactions to nominal ledger
  • Being a main point of contact for any internal queries
  • Any ad-hoc duties as required by the Line Manager






Profile

Desired experience and skill set for this Assistant Accountant role:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Be immediately available and able to start in a role quickly
  • Part Qualified in either ACCA/CIMA/ACA or AAT Qualified
  • Previous experience of working in a similar commercial fast paced environment
  • Capable of working using own initiative to anticipate and resolve issues
  • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • Highly analytical and numerate
  • Locally based in Cambridge with your own transport
  • Strong Excel skills to include pivot tables and VLOOKUPS
  • Flexible team player
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a busy environment to strict deadlines
