Financial Systems and Transformation Lead
Purpose of role
As the Financial Systems and Transformation lead, you'll be working closely with the Global Process Owner – Financial Reporting in identifying and rolling out automation opportunities for the Financial Reporting team. You will play a lead role in challenging existing processes and driving a culture of change to ensure our financial systems are utilised to their full capacity. You will be responsible for proactively identifying system solutions in advance of business change and upskilling relevant users via change training programmes.
Global Process Owner Lead R2R Identify key areas of automation opportunity within Financial Reporting (e.g. accruals templates etc.) and develop vision and roadmap to deliver report automation & dashboard creationEnsure best practice system solutions are considered and addressed in advance of significant finance transformation projects that impact financial reporting (e.g. Epos, New Markets, IFRS 16 etc.)Overall custodian for business data within Financial Reporting, providing context to business users on how best to use data and drive insightsResponsible for working with other areas of the business and 3rd parties to ensure on-going system support is in place across relevant systemsMaximise our current systems capabilities to ensure people are utilising our systems to full use, delivering agreed efficienciesProactively develop systems capability and insights within the Financial Reporting functionRoll out of a training and upskilling programme for Financial Reporting on all finance systems to ensure systems capabilities are being fully utilisedWorking in conjunction with IT and rest of finance to identify the vision and systems roadmapTrusted advisor for IT and finance (R2R, ER etc.) for any system changes e.g. new markets, new products & servicesResponsible for successful implementation of any system changes Act as the main Financial Reporting contact for all global reporting and analysis projectsDevelop effective working relationships within the business to identify changing business needsAct as the Financial Reporting spokesperson for BI and analysis.Support ad-hoc requests for deep dive financial analysis
Essential knowledge, skills and experience Educated to degree levelAccounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) advantageousExcellent engagement and communication skills (written and verbal)Experience in enabling solutions to address training needs/gapsExcellent technical and financial systems skills are a pre-requisite combined with strong financial acumen and project management skills
Successful candidates will meet the following criteria 5+ years experience in a finance and/IT/change environmentExperience in transformation and change programmesThrive in a fast-paced environmentExperience in Systems ImplementationsExcellent planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule for self and team and work within agreed timescalesDemonstrate initiative with strong work ethicOperates with a high level of integrity, diplomacy, tact and professionalism
