Payroll Manager

Top Job Located in Sarnia, ON Salary: $75,000-$80,000/year

Job summary: Express Employment Professionals is hiring a payroll manager on behalf of a leading local employer. The payroll manager will be responsible for the supervision of payroll staff and support of all payroll processes and activities to ensure the successful management of payroll production for a large number of employees. Key responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining and managing the computerized payroll system
• Coordinating, scheduling, balancing, troubleshooting, and processing payroll
• Compiling and preparing payroll and other related reports
• Utilizing Crystal Reports for reporting information
• Planning, organizing, and scheduling work assignments
• Selecting, orientating, training, evaluating, and disciplining employees

A pension and benefits are provided with this position. Location: Sarnia, ON Position type: Direct hire Pay: $75,000-$80,000/year Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in business administration, accounting, or a related discipline
• At least three years of experience in a payroll processing environment with supervisory experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience with an understanding of accounting and payroll systems interfacing
• Thorough knowledge of relevant financial and payroll-related functions and applicable legislation
• Experience in a unionized environment
• Pension experience
• Experience with a large company's payroll systems
• Experience with process improvements for payroll
• Payroll, CGA, or CMA designation would be an asset
