Senior Audit Associate

The Senior Audit Associate performs audit tasks and procedures, assimilates accounting, audit and tax knowledge, provides high quality services against clients’ expectation with compliance to all related audit & accounting regulations as well as with compliance to internal procedures and interacting with respect towards client’s employees.
 

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years relevant working experience, preferably in audit
• Graduate degree preferably in economics with a further preference for accounting & finance
• Demonstrated good usage and communication of the English
• Computer literate : MS Office package with a focus on Excel
• Commercial focus to understand clients’ issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive client relationship orientation
• Team oriented

Job description

• Performing the audit of most routine transactions and corresponding accounts from the beginning to the stage of review from the Partner in charge or the Manager
• Performing audit tests for more complex areas such as:
  • inventory (costing, valuation, analysis of realisable value, etc),
  • tax issues related to Fixed assets and tax issues in general (Basic tax compliance - VAT, salary and corporate tax)
  • accruals and provisions / estimates
• Performing analytical review procedures on all work sections
• Demonstrating sufficient knowledge of Company, Labour, Income Tax Law and Accounting Laws as well as accounting standards (IFRS & Romanian Accounting Standards)
• Performing basic tests and procedures related to the planning phase, including the risk assessment and selection strategy for balance sheet and P&L areas
• Instructing more junior members in performing basic audit assignments (e.g. take responsibility for on-site work of 1- 2 Associates)
• Identifying cross-selling opportunities
