An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant to join a growing software business to partner with the consulting team on a wide-range of projects.

Client Details

My client is a growing £30m T/O software business based in London with significant parent company backing. Their offering of user-friendly, functional software has seen them stretch their client base across a range of industries focusing on Blue Chips. Additionally, they are currently exploring their appetite for further international expansion. In line with their continued growth they are now looking for a financial specialist to join the team.

Description

As the Financial Specialist you will support the consulting and systems teams. You will do this through excellent technical and systems knowledge. Your key responsibilities will be:

    • Supporting the team delivering Solution Services with functional queries and requirements

  • Assist the Business Quality Assurance team with understanding the accounting implications of new product features so that they can design appropriate tests

  • Support, and in some cases lead, the training team with understanding new products and releases and contribute to course development

  • Educate non-financial consultants in the key aspects of accounting needed when implementing software products

  • Update the product Business Simulations in line with new releases and create new Business Simulations when new products are released

  • Support clients and partners undertaking product Business Simulations

  • Liaise with strategic finance advisory team to ensure a common approach is being applied across the business

Profile

As a strong applicant for the financial specialist role you will:

  • Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong academic background;

  • Demonstrate a strong systems knowledge as well as understanding of reporting cycles and processes;

  • Show excellent technical knowledge, specifically around IFRS updates;

  • Possess excellent communication skills with an ability to coach, influence, and support non-financial stakeholders;

  • Be comfortable working autonomously.

Job Offer

The offer to the successful applicant will be £65,000-£75,000 + benefits including 10% bonus, medical cover, and 25 days annual leave.
