As a result of a re-organisation there are now two departments in Birmingham City Business School: the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics; and, the Department of Strategy, Management and Marketing and we are therefore taking the opportunity to relaunch our VL pools.

Birmingham City Business School is in the city -centre and successful candidates will work with our staff to ensure an excellent student experience through the use of relevant and inspiring learning, teaching and assessment methods.

The Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics has Platinum ALP status with the ACCA and we are seeking to expand the current team.

In your application, please identify which paper(s) that you can deliver as well as highlighting relevant teaching experience on Professional programmes . This will assist in identifying suitable candidates as teaching opportunities become available.

As part of your application, please ensure you upload a CV and Cover Letter. You are advised, where possible, to remove personal details such as your name from your CV and Cover Letter.

If you wish to discuss the role further please contact Rebecca Bate at rebecca.bate@bcu.ac.uk or call Tel 0121 202 8675

Classes typically run between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday with occasional classes held at the weekend.

In applying for this vacancy you will be submitting your details to a Visiting Lecturer recruitment pool. Please note that Visiting Lecturer posts are part time, fixed term contracts for which a specific amount of hours work will be agreed between you and the Faculty. Visiting Lecturer posts are paid hourly and there are a range of pay rates dependant on the role.

As and when relevant teaching hours become available that your CV and experience are suitable for, you will be contacted by the Faculty directly to discuss further details. Please be aware that you are not guaranteed to hear back from the Faculty.

Recruitment pools will be closed at the end of September each year, at which point you will be contacted with an invite to resubmit your details for the following year's recruitment pool if you would still like to be considered.
