We are seeking an Accountant, whom is CIMA, ACCA or ACA (PQ Accepted, AAT considered with relevant experience) qualified with advanced Excel knowledge and SAP experience to work as part of our Finance Team here at our Head Office in Huthwaite.

We require an individual who has practical accounting experience and previous experience of working within a fast-paced office environment to support the companies accounting function and the month end/quarter end closing processes for the UK & Ireland.

What does the role involve?

You will:
  • Undertake monthly accruals and prepayments calculations as assigned by the Group Accountant
  • Perform an accuracy review of assigned cost centres during the month end closing
  • Take ownership of balance sheet codes assigned by the Group Accountant
  • Review quarterly stock takes in the provider business
  • Reconciliation of the Product Business stock and quarterly provisions
  • Prepare input for the TIP cashflow system
  • Complete all intercompany recharges
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations
  • Creation of fixed assets and review
  • Bad debt provision
  • Preparation of statutory accounts schedules
  • Preparation of VAT return schedules
  • Preparation of IFRS package schedules
  • Preparation of information requested by external auditors
  • Any other duties as can be reasonably expected.

This is a full-time or part-time position of 30 to 37.5 hours, usually working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm. Initially you will be home working and when safe to do so you will eventually be based at our Head Office (Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire).
