The Management Board of the Technical and Vocation Teachers College (TVTC) which is under the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) of the Republic of Zambia, situated in Luanshya, Copperbelt Province, is looking for sober, high caliber mature persons to fill the position of Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will report to the Principal.

Main Functions and Accountabilities:

  • To develop and implement an effective financial management system that optimizes allocation of the College’s financial resources and facilitates accurate measurement of performance.
  • To manage effectively, the revenue collection to ensure that sufficient resources are available and accounted for.
  • To manage timely disbursement of funds in order to facilitate smooth operations of the College.
  • To formulate, execute and manage short and long term College budgets and strategies.
  • To monitor monthly, the implementation of the annual budgets through management reports.
  • To develop and implement financial policies, effective internal control systems and procedures.
  • To manage the effective and timely preparation of financial statements of accounts to ensure accountability of resources for the Board/Management and regulatory stakeholders.
  • To establish and maintain sound business relationships with financial institutions and regulatory bodies.
  • To liaise and co-ordinate with internal/ external Auditors for the undertaking of the statutory audit and respond to audit queries.
  • To train and develop subordinates.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Principal

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Recognized Accountancy degree, CA Zambia and/or full ACCA/CIMA qualification with at least seven to ten years relevant working experience, five of which should have been at Management level. 
  •  Post Graduate qualification in any business field would be an added advantage.
  • At least 35 years old but not more than sixty (60) years of age.
  • At least Ten (10) years’ experience in the relevant field.
  • Full membership of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
  • Computer literacy knowledge of computerized accounting software, financial modeling and student information management systems.
