Senior Financial Accountant role back in Auckland CBD

Your new company
A rapidly growing and ever-changing service provider based on the outskirts of Auckland's CBD are long established as a leader within their unique industry and boast a global reputation. Due to a strategic restructure within their dynamic finance department, they are now seeking a new Senior Financial Accountant to join on a full-time permanent basis.


Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller on site, you will assist with the month-end close process to identify improvements and ensure controls are being adhered to. You will provide an analysis and commentary to financial reports and assist managers to evaluate and integrate the information. Furthermore, the Senior Financial Accountant will liaise closely with auditors, provide accounting advice, ensure the security of financial systems, prepare statutory accounts and completing technical accounting calculations as required.


What you'll need to succeed
A degree qualification, CA membership or equivalent and 4+ years' commercial accounting experience covering NZ tax (income, GST and FBT) is essential. You will be able to show examples of a strong ability to analyse and communicate financial information, using ERP systems and reporting packages. As a person, you will be highly results driven, able to work independently, great at problem solving and relationship building.
