Robert Half Finance is looking to fill a Senior Accountant position on a full–time basis in the BUFFALO, New York area. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every single day

– Offer involvement in various department–wide initiatives

– Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations

– Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary

– Coordinate Ad–hoc projects as necessary

– Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

– Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP

– Produce monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes

– Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner

– Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

Job Requirements:
– BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

– Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

– Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

– Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

– 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

– ERP system experience

– Prior work done in public accounting is desired

– SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

– Self–starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

– Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

– Able to manage time well

– Debt experience desired

– Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills

– Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
