Financial Accountant

Our client an international and award winning business. It is the leading provider of the products and services it supplies. Notwithstanding the pandemic, the business is continuing to remain extremely profitable and experiencing further growth. This role will be based from the head office in North Nottingham.

Description

You will be reporting into the Group Accountant, and will be working as part of a large finance team. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Ensuring the month end accounting processes are completed
• Maintain the balance sheet and P&L
• Support with the preparation of IFRS packages, statutory accounts and tax returns
• review quarterly stock takes
• Complete monthly payroll journals
• Reconciliation of fixed assets and review
• Review trade creditors and debtors
• Review bank reconciliations
• Completion of all PAYE settlement agreements
• Prepare information that is requested by auditors
• Ensure SOPs are in place
• Prepare schedules for the board packs and other management reports
• Manage inter-company reconciliations
• Prepare input for the cashflow system

Profile

To be considered for this role, you:

• Must have previous experience of working in financial accounts
• Will have some experience of the duties outlined above, but you do not need experience of all of the duties, as training will be provided
• Will ideally be studying an accounting qualification, but candidates qualified by experience will be considered
