The Role
You will be a critical member of our Group Finance team and responsible for -
* Consolidation of Group entities using Hyperion Financial Management
* Timely and accurately preparation of the monthly Group Management Accounts under IFRS and US GAAP
* Managing the month-end closing processes for the group accounts
* Assistance with/Preparation of the Budgeting & Forecasting processes
* Preparation of the annual Statutory Accounts for the Group under IFRS
* Production of the annual Statutory Accounts for the UK subsidiaries under FRS 101 and liaising with the external auditors
* Responsibility for the preparation of several key notes to the year-end Group Financial Statements and liaising with the external auditors in those areas
* Reconciliation of key balances and preparation of supporting schedules for Group internal reporting
* iXBRL tagging of Individual Financial Statements
* Provide technical support on accounting matters (e.g. compliance and implementation of IFRS & US GAAP)
* Identify and propose improvements and efficiencies in existing processes
* Responsible to implement processes and carry out regular checks to ensure the accuracy of GL accounts
* Preparation of various National Statistics schedules for the Group
* Ad hoc reporting and research/investigating accounting issues
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role you will bring a combination of -
* A qualified accountant (preferably ACA) with good technical experience
* Proven track record of financial and management accounting in a group environment with exposure to group consolidation including management of deliverables across multiple business units would be an advantage
* Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP preferrable
* Self-starter with ability to work on their own initiative
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
* Fast and responsive, ability to work to tight deadlines
* Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Proven communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels
* Demonstrable experience in working within or managing finance projects, supporting decision-making activities, and creating and developing effective business relationships
* Experience with EPICOR, Hyperion and IRIS is desirable but not essential
