We pride ourselves on our global reputation as a trusted place to do business, whilst giving our people access to the best opportunities and lots of variety through your home team, internal secondments and international assignments.The Leeds External Audit Practice is currently looking to recruit a Senior Manager to build upon a period of strong growth and support new audit clients.With more than 540 clients and some 300 partners and staff in the region, the Yorkshire External Audit practice is a great place to build a career. We have a wide variety of clients from entrepreneurial start-ups through major public sector organisations to FTSE100 and large global businesses.About the roleThe role will incorporate:A portfolio of external audit clients where you will be responsible for the day to day management, client liaison and technical issues managementBeing a key contact throughout the year for our clients who range from FTSE listed businesses through to owner managed businesses in the infancy of their life cycleBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients of the firm as well as the alumni network, understanding opportunities to assist with their issuesReporting directly to the Assurance Partner and Director and having a number of direct team members report to youResponsibility for the coaching and development of the team members reporting directly into you taking responsibility for the career development of othersAssisting with managing the staffing of the job, the financial performance and ensuring that key deadlines are metBusiness development activities such as building relationships with target clients or involvement in pitch situationsBuild strong relationships with other specialist teams within PwC to ensure that a full service offering can be provided to our clientsActively taking part in office wide initiatives and teams, contributing to a strong overall team morale and impactEssential skills & experienceAs a Senior Manager within the North Assurance Practice you'd be required to:CA/ ACA/ ACCA/ ICAS qualified (or international equivalent) orequivalent work experience in Audit (international candidates who technically qualify in their home country by experience) Have experience of management of the audit from planning to supervision and review of the processHave flexibility in your approach to meeting goals as part of the teamHave the ability to communicate clearly, showing flexibility in style with different colleagues and clients at all levelsHave a proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationshipsTake a proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutionsYou will have experience of interacting with senior level clients and management to develop and maintain business relationships.
