Summary:

The position is responsible for analyzing the financial statement of all business units - domestic and international for proper accounting treatment under US GAAP as well as assisting with monthly and quarterly financial close processes. This position will also work closely with the accounting departments of established and recently acquired subsidiaries to apply appropriate accounting under US GAAP.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Assists with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP for both external and management reporting.
  • Analyzes quarterly financial statements on Form 10Q/K for proper compliance with US GAAP, SEC guidelines, and internal controls.
  • Analyzes the monthly financial statement uploads from the international business units to ensure proper accounting.
  • Researches account fluctuations and provide detailed explanations of variances.
  • Oversees with the monthly consolidation process in OneStream.
  • Supports the development of financial scenarios, forecasts and planning processes.
  • Assists with annual goodwill testing.
  • Analyzes opening balance sheets and accounting methodologies of recently acquired businesses.
  • Assists with accounting research and preparation of the associated accounting documentation.
  • Prepares quarterly balance sheet and income statement analytical write-ups for members of management.
  • Prepares materials for quarter Board of Directors meetings.
  • Assists with special projects as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Reporting Relationships:

  • Manager, Financial Reporting
  • Daily contact with internal customers, internal and external auditors, and executive management.


Credentials:

Required -

  • Accounting or Finance Degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience with experience in corporate accounting, consolidation accounting and preparation of US GAAP financial statements.
  • Knowledge of financial management controls, practices and approaches and GAAP and SOX requirements.
  • Computer literate (knowledge of Microsoft Office products).
  • Good communication, organization, interpersonal and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.


Preferred:

  • SEC reporting experience with a publically traded US Company.
  • CPA with public accounting experience.
  • Experience with multi-currency consolidations.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle (Hyperion) Financial Management System.
  • Proficiency in foreign language (Spanish, Portuguese, French, German)


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time.
  • Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for the position.
  • Ability to travel 10%, if required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
