Job Description:
  • The NA regional payroll manager is responsible to deliver a positive employee experience to approximately 11,000 employees by ensuring a timely and accurate US and Canadian payroll process.
  • The NA payroll manager is a key member of the global payroll leadership team and is a functional, technical, and process expert.
  • The regional payroll manager is responsible for the RA payroll team located in the US and the outsourced payroll partner who is responsible to ensure that the NA payroll process meets defined service level agreements and quality targets, and that continuous improvement opportunity is identified and executed as necessary to ensure those targets are achieved and sustained.
  • This position focuses on compliance with internal policies, key controls, and government regulations, and creates an environment in which our employees' expectations are anticipated and consistently met.
  • The successful candidate will bring deep knowledge and experience in the area of payroll operations and systems including Workday Payroll, expatriate payroll, payroll controls, vendor management, SOX requirements, SOC1 controls, labor law, and tax compliance.


Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent; Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing payroll for at least 8,000 employees.
  • Extensive knowledge of US and Canadian payroll legislation and taxation is required.
  • Knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems, processes, employee time calculations, and interrelationships of data transfers. Workday experience is highly preferable.
  • Previous experience in managing an outsourced payroll function is strongly desired.
  • Position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to participate effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong people management experience and demonstrated ability to forge strong and trusting relationships across business functions.
  • The ability to collaborate with other internal corporate teams including HR, Legal, Tax, Compensation and Benefits, Compensation, IT and Finance, and external partners is critical.
  • Well-organized, extreme attention to detail and a self-directed individual. This person must be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize while under continuous deadlines maintaining professionalism and a calm demeanor.
