DEPARTMENT: Office of Fiscal Affairs
SUPERVISOR: Accounts Payable Associate / Staff Accountant
GENERAL JOB FUNCTION
Cumberland University, a private, independent liberal arts institution, is seeking a mature, energetic, and customer friendly graduate assistant to help facilitate and manage some of the daily operations. This position will work with the Staff Accountant and Accounts Payable Associate in all areas listed below and other assignments as may be presented.

Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain both the University and Accounting Office Mission Statements.
- Meet regularly with supervisors to receive tasks and provide suggestions.
- Operate office equipment such as computers, photocopiers and scan equipment
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Must be able to undertake tasks and daily functions with limited supervision
- Maintain Driver List with credentials
- Reconcile monthly fuel card
- Order and receive supplies
- Open invoices and match with Purchase orders
- Weekly filing for paid invoices
- Complete any other tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education

COMPENSATION

- Required 20 hours a week minimum for term of graduate program
