Staff Accountant

TYPE: Direct Hire

PAY: $50K-$55K DOE

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant Include:

• Month End closing of general ledger including standard journal entries and closing out accounts receivable
• Create financial transactions and create reports
• Posting information to accounting journals
• Financial analysis and support to assigned departments
• Prepare budget review documentation
• Calculate variance analysis from the budget and report issues to management
• Prepare schedules on a monthly basis for Capital Investment, bank statement reconciliation, and account reconciliations
• Review bank reconciliations for outstanding checks older than 90 days and contact customers with outstanding check to resolve
• Prepare deposits for checks received
• Reconcile Inventory balances
• Maintain expense and commission records
• Collect sales tax from customers and remit them
• Pay supplier invoices

Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Requirements for the Staff Accountant:
• 4-year degree (Accounting or Finance)
• 3 plus years' experience
• QuickBooks
• Manage rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced multi-faceted environment
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-starter with high focus on quality and customer service
