This position is the manufacturing accountant in the Controller area with main responsibilities of reviewing and entering production (3 locations) and receiving (3 locations). This position will be the main backup for the Staff Cost Accountant and thus must understand the manufacturing process. Junior Manufacturing Accountant/Indian Trail, NC / Ft Contract This position is the manufacturing accountant in the Controller area with main responsibilities of reviewing and entering production (3 locations) and receiving (3 locations). This position will be the main backup for the Staff Cost Accountant and thus must understand the manufacturing process. Junior Manufacturing Accountant duties and job responsibilities:

• Manufacturing Production.
  • We have three manufacturing facilities and a few outside locations that report production to us.
  • Production must be reviewed to make sure the part being reported, and the quantities are correct.
  • This position must make sure production is reported and entered timely and follow up when it is not done so.
• • Enter items received timely for all locations.
  • Review the items received against the PO for correct quantity, unit of measure, and bring any differences to the attention of Purchasing and Plant personal.
• Because production is only reported at certain count point this person must understand the manufacturing process to ensure that it is being reported correctly.
• Help the Staff Cost Accountant at month-end to enter finished good production to match items being invoiced.
• Maintain spreadsheets for production statistics, such as quantity usage, scrap rates, labor complement and space utilization.
• Any duties as required by Sr. Accountant, Controller or management.

Junior Manufacturing Accountant Qualifications:

• Four or two-year degree in accounting and/or equivalent accounting experience. CPA certification is not required.
• Two or more years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment required.
• Experience with integrated accounting software package, Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not required.
• Well-developed PC skills with intermediate level experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
