Reporting to the Branch Head for Financial Accounting, you will be primarily involved in financial accounting & reporting activities as well as following up on accounts receivables and reconciliations, which include the following:
  • Monthly closing of accounts and preparation of financial reporting packages
  • Review of journals, accounting classifications, reconciliations and perform financial analysis
  • Preparation of government statistics, grant claim submission and the annual financial statements
  • Following up on accounts receivables and fund remittance
  • Preparation of GST submission
  • Any ad-hoc duties/projects assigned

  • Degree in accountancy or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a financial accounting position; prior experience in the education sector will be an added advantage.
  • Self-motivated team player, possessing good analytical and problem solving skills
  • A positive attitude, good time management and strong interpersonal skills
  • Independent , resourceful and the able to think "outside the box"
  • Ability to multi-task, perform effectively under pressure, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Technically competent and up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards/practices
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including V-lookup, Pivot Table etc) and knowledge of SAP financial system will be an added advantage.

This is a 3-year contract appointment
