We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our team in WINNIPEG, Manitoba (CA-MB), Canada (CA).

Responsibilities:
• Define and document business functions and processes
• Consult business SMEs to identify, define and document business requirements and objectives, current operating procedures, problems, and input and output requirements
• Liaise between end-users, technical team, consultants and other organizations in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of solutions to ensure optimal operational performance
• Analyze the feasibility of, and develop requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users
• Track and fully document changes for functional and business specifications; write detailed widely understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training
• Identify opportunities for improving business processes through the use of technology and business process changes;
• Assist in the preparation of business cases to support new projects, enhancements and process changes
• Interpret technical literature and translate in terms understandable to end-users or non-technical staff
• Plan, organize and conduct business process reengineering/improvement projects and/or management reviews of programs
• Consolidate information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or other written forms for use in management decision-making
• Conduct change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and documents business requirements
• Participate in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality
• Provide technical assistance in training, mentoring, and coaching professional and technical staff
• Develop training curriculum and conduct formal training sessions covering assigned system modules
• Direct or participate in studies of new and existing programs and special projects to determine feasibility, resolve problems including organizational, procedural, technical and fiscal research and analysis
• Develop policies and procedures to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and/or improve internal and external customer service
• Prepare reports, written findings and recommendations; and monitor changes
• Provide direction to one or more technical or clerical staff or act as a team lead on designated projects or assignments
• Other business analyst duties as assigned.
The Senior Business Analyst must have the following minimum qualifications or experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Commerce or an equivalent field
• Minimum of five years of experience as a business analyst
• Minimum of three years of experience documenting/conducting process re-engineering
• Minimum of two years of experience writing use cases
• High level of communications and client relationship skills. Able to clearly communicate complex technical and business concepts, both to clients and team members, and to negotiate change
• Ability to effectively identify and frame problems, leading the collection of elements of information, and integrating this information to produce timely and thoughtful decisions.
The following qualifications will be considered as assets:

PRINCE2 Foundation
• Accreditation from a Business Analyst professional association
• Knowledge of the Business Analysis Book of Knowledge (BABOK)
