Audit Accountant

Nexia Australia's Melbourne office has an exciting opportunity to join our growing firm as an Audit Accountant within our Audit and Assurance team.

You will be allocated a broad range of audit jobs across our diverse client portfolio, where you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the audits you are assigned are conducted in line with the Nexia Audit Approach and proactively liaising with clients. You will also be given responsibility for planning, supervising and finalising audit assignments.

Requirements
The successful candidate will fulfil the following criteria:

• 3-6 years' external Audit experience in public practice;
• Good knowledge of Word, Excel, APS and CaseWare (or similar audit systems);
• A positive and hard-working attitude;
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills;
• Desire to mentor and coach junior team members;
• A high level of professionalism and commitment to firm values;
• Completed post-graduate accountancy qualification (CA preferred);
• Appropriate professional and technical skills required to demonstrate a solid application of the audit approach;
• Good knowledge and understanding of Australian corporate reporting requirements (e.g. Accounting Standards, Corporations Act, UIG)
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to maximise productivity.
