Commercial Finance Business Analyst- Retail - Immediate start

The primary objective of this role is to work alongside the Head of Commercial Finance, to assist driving business performance and commercial analytics. The successful candidate will not only perform a lot of the analytics but at the same time partner Operations, Marketing and other key stakeholders. Being part of a fast-paced business, the right candidate will have the ability to flex and adapt to the business requirements and be willing to work in a team environment, as part of a small commercial finance team.

The scope of the role will include:

• Analytics of past price and promotional activity that will inform in future promotions
• Review our current commercial analytics and reporting capabilities
• Identify opportunities to make it easier to measure business performance
• Business Partner with the Operations team, Marketing team and Product/Category team to assess business performance
• Primary responsibility for interrogating data sources and our approach to measuring KPI's to confirm data integrity and 'sense check' calculation methodology
• Ability to use (or a willingness to learn how to use) a range of platforms that enhance our business reporting capabilities including Tableau, Alteryx and Excel

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Business Analyst/ Analytical role in a large company or in professional services at a big 4 accounting firm, consulting firm or an investment bank
• Experience developing and presenting analytical findings to internal and external stakeholders
  Advanced Excel and data savvy
• Financial modelling experience
• Development of business cases
• Strong communication/interpersonal skills
• Lateral thinker, with a consultative approach to problem solving issues
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity
  Combine data from a range of sources to populate reports and dashboards
