Partner Financial are working with a Listed business who possess a strong international market presence. The organisation has an excellent reputation for quality products and service. We are seeking an experienced and immediately available 'hands on', Interim Manager with recent small to mid-size PLC experience.

The Group Chief Accountant is a key role within Group Finance and would suit an individual who is a self-starter with recent PLC experience including delivering the Year-End Audit process, producing the back half of the Annual Report and other ad hoc projects as required.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • A Qualified Accountant with relevant post qualified experience as an Interim Manager;
  • Big 4 Audit experience is highly desirable;
  • Demonstrable experience working in a small to mid-sized Plc environment (c£20-£300m revenue) as a 'hands on' Group Financial Controller / Group Finance Manager / Chief Accountant;
  • Knowledge of Inventory / Stock accounting in a Manufacturing environment is desirable;
  • Recent experience of PLC reporting and able to prepare the back half of an Annual Report independently;
  • Able to produce statutory and management accounts with commentary and deliver highly quality board reporting;
  • Strong understanding of UK listed company reporting requirements, i.e. UK Companies Act, Combined Code, Directors remuneration disclosures etc;
  • Strong understanding of IFRS including defined benefit pension schemes, share based payments, acquisitions, disposals, derivatives, cash flows statement, hedge accounting and multi-currency consolidations;
  • In-depth working knowledge UK GAAP (FRS101/102) technical knowledge;
  • Strong in written English in a style that is suitable for FTSE listed Annual Report and Accounts;
  • Able to work across time zones (Asia and US);
  • Experience in implementing and embedding robust financial controls;
  • Experience of multi-jurisdiction reporting;
  • Hands on experience with consolidation tool implementation preferred;
  • A robust and determined personality with the ability to deliver in challenging environments;
  • Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail and ability to be 'hands on', willingness to roll up sleeves and not reliant on large teams.
