AJ Chambers Recruitment is very happy to be working with a Top 50 firm of Chartered Accountants based in Huntingdon, on their requirement for an AAT qualified Accountant. This is a full-time, permanent role.
Responsibilities:
* preparing financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
* Personal & Corporation tax computations & Compliance
* Assisting managers
* Bookkeeping
* VAT preparation
* Client interaction
What will you need to be successful in this role?
* Level 3 AAT Qualified, or early stages of ACA/ACCA
* Previous involvement in accounts preparation work, the production of management and other accounts, along with an understanding and experience of personal and corporate tax
* Basic bookkeeping skills, along with experience in payroll, and the preparation of VAT returns, would be helpful, but not essential.
* Minimum 2 years recent practice experience
* Will possess a high level of IT proficiency and the ability to use various packages, in particular: MS Office (Word, Excel), Sage Line 50, Xero and Quickbooks. Familiarity with CCH software would be useful.
