As a result of a recent internal career development opportunity, we currently have a 12 month contract opportunity available for a Team Leader in our Fund Accounting team.
The Team leader will review and assist on delivering accurate daily unit pricing to our members and will coach and mentor a team of 6+ Fund accountants / Senior Fund Accountants, ensuring all duties as defined by the Manager / Senior Manager are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

As a Fund Accounting Team Leader, you will be responsible for the management of a small team and ensure the day to day operations of the unit pricing process, reconciliations, and many other deliverables are dealt with accurately and in timely fashion. This is to ensure we provide the best outcome to our members.
You will supervise the daily valuation and unit pricing process by providing technical advice and coaching of accountants, ensuring they produce quality / timely work and that unit prices are reviewed and signed off within KPI service standards. In addition, you will supervise and ensure underlying investment/accounting records are reconciled by deadline and accurately maintained in Hiportfolio and general ledgers and that there is a timely & accurate review of Bank reconciliations. You will be required to proactively liaise with customers to clear reconciliation items and review fee reconciliations and ensure payment per timetable.
As a Team Leader, you will provide coaching and development to the fund accountants to achieve accurate and timely delivery of key operational tasks and actively participate and contribute to their training.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have the following background:
- Degree qualified with a Commerce degree (major in accounting/finance)
- Completed/Studying eg CA/CPA/SIA preferred
- Two or more years previous experience within the financial services industry
- Proven unit pricing and accounting skills
- Strong communication skills
- Previous leadership / coaching experience
- Knowledge of Hiportfolio or similar investment management systems
CBA has entered into an agreement with KKR to sell a 55% interest in its CFS superannuation and investments business for total cash consideration of $1.7billion (implying a total valuation of $3.3billion). CBA will retain a 45% shareholding in CFS.

The sale is expected to complete in the first half of 2021. As this is a role to work in the CFS business, the successful candidate will initially be employed by the CBA Group but on sale completion, their employment will transfer to a new entity that will employ the CFS business employees from completion.
