Working with us, you will be responsible for:

Global Commissions team has responsibility for accounting and reporting of sales, distribution and marketing transactions in books of Franklin Templeton and its subsidiaries. The work includes effective operation of the processing and analyzing of broker/dealer commissions for all European fund groups. Collaborating with others in the commission group and other members within the global finance organization.

We’re currently looking for an Accountant to join us on temporary contract (18 months).

Daily tasks:

  • Undertaking the recurring responsibilities of the department regarding accounting and reporting of revenue and expenses related transaction as per regulatory requirements
  • Bank account management, including formatting daily bank statements, monthly reconciliations and month end analysis
  • Analyzing and reporting of broker/dealer commissions
  • Providing day-to-day support to the team (as required) and ensure deadlines are met and provide a proactive, value added assistance to the Corporate Accounting team and the business operations
  • Work on Month end/Year-end closing
  • Provide support for year-end audit related issues across the region as required
  • Ensure timely update of books of accounts as per the regulatory requirements

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have 2+ years of corporate accounting experience
  • Have a university degree in Accounting or in a related field (e.g. Economics, Finance)
  • Have accounting certifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) - an advantage
  • Have work experience with international exposure - desirable
  • Possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Possess proficient computer skills including applications within Microsoft Office
  • Are experienced with automated financial systems, including the general ledger (required)
  • Are experienced working with large volume of data and close attention to detail
  • Can maintain confidentiality
  • Can work independently and remotely
  • Pay strong attention to detail
  • Are able to perform mathematical calculations and analysis
  • Are able to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines
  • Communicate in English effectively both orally and in writing
