(Senior) Accounting Manager (Accounting Policy)

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Team Head of Accounting Policy, work independently to evaluate the impacts of accounting standards and execute implementation and application
Set accounting policies and internal accounting regulations
Design accounting treatments and perform due diligence assessments on banking products and services
Prepare analytical reports and lead in ad hoc projects to support management's decision in strategic planning and departmental operation
Supervising managers to discharge duties

Requirements

Bachelor degree with CPA qualification in professional accountancy bodies
At least 8 years' practical experience in a Big Four or recognized reputable financial institution, of which 3 years in a managerial position; Equipped with solid knowledge in IFRS, HKFRS and PRC GAAP
Familiar with Hong Kong banking environment with hands on experience in accounting for financial products; knowledge in life insurance business is advantageous
Good in financial analysis, strong analytical and presentation skills, capable of integrating financial and management information with business acumen
Proactive, independent, self-motivated with strong managerial and communications skills, able to work under pressure with tight time schedule
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; Proficiency in using Microsoft Office with knowledge in Chinese word processing
Willing to travel to SEA countries if necessary, and good knowledge in accounting practices in SEA countries is an advantage
