Finance Director – Central Region (Sales)Job Overview: This position will be the financial lead and key business partner for the Region President. In tandem with the business, the Director will liaise as necessary within and across functional areas to ensure the finances of the region are accurately accounted for, understood at the transactional level and reported in a timely and consistent manner. The main objective of this role is to provide the region with a financial expert who understands their unique operational and strategic needs and can advocate and support their objectives within and outside of finance. This position will be responsible for leading the strategic financial planning, reporting and business analytics applicable to their specific Region as it pertains to sales and operations across multiple DCs. Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Lead, execute and own the annual budget process for the Region in conjunction with Broadline and SBU Finance. This includes identifying key budget drivers, modelling proposed budget scenarios and partnering with the business to ensure there is alignment, agreement and that the budget truly represents the objectives of the region. Obtain an in depth understanding of the Region and partner with the business to stay abreast of operational issues for translation to budgets, forecasts, analysis, etc. Liaise with Broadline and SBU Finance to create reports and analysis on a regional basis across Broadline and Fresh channels. Support the periodic forecast process for the Region by partnering with Broadline and SBU Finance leads in delivering timely and accurate forecasts. Analyze, document and communicate variations between actual results and budget/forecast/prior year/etc as needed. Partner with the Region to identify key drivers impacting performance and participate in the development and execution of processes and/or plans to improve issues within the business. Assist Region in executing strategic plans as applicable in support of the company's short and long–term goals. Conduct organizational reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities and to evaluate operational effectiveness. Facilitate creation of action plans to close gaps on main opportunities. Analyze strategic initiatives and provide recommendations to the Region President. Partner with Broadline and SBU Finance regarding how specific business area finances and initiatives impact each region. Partner with Customer Profitability FP in reviewing the performance and margin on key customers. Make recommendations for improvement to margin based on findings. Job Requirements: Master's Degree or equivalent professional experience. 10+ years of experience in financial analytical leadership position. Demonstrated success in business partnership as well as leading and delivering solutions to complex business opportunities. Outstanding analytical skills (numerical, verbal). Strong Strategic Planning, Financial and Operations / Business Background. Strong business acumen. Financial modeling and analytic experience. Project Management experience is a plus. Self–driven and very motivated. Must be comfortable working in a chaotic environment and working with constantly changing priorities. Leads and directs the work of others across the company, without direct organizational line of authority. Excellent writing and communication skills. Position also requires strong interpersonal skills, discretion, diplomacy, and judgment. Strong teamwork ethic, positive proactive flexible attitude ability to take complete ownership of responsibilities. Advanced skillset in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and related software applications.
