To learn moreabout Akima and opportunities across our family of companies, visit .Job Summary: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer of Akima the Finance Director be a key financial business partner, providing strategic business guidance directly to one of Akima's fast growing IT Sector Group Presidents The effective candidate will be a strategic business partner and trusted advisor, requiring clear communication, cross–functional relationships and collaboration to ensure the accuracy of financial forecasting.Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for all the financial affairs for the Group to include, but not limited to:Budget preparation and monitoring versus actual performanceRevenue recognitionFinancial reportingPricing supportForecastingReview of EACsOptimize cash and Days Sales OutstandingRate monitoringInvestment analysisQuarterly business reviewsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:BA in Accounting or relevant fieldMinimum 10 years work experience in a financial management role for a Federal Contractor.Strong working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)Demonstrated ability to work closely with executive leadershipExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe individual must be a hands–on, detailed oriented professional. Working knowledge of the Costpoint ERP and CognosStrong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal customers, management, and professionals in your organization.Ability to communicate and present financial data to management of other functions in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner.Ability to make decisions with sound judgement while complying with policies and procedures.Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Microsoft Excel.Desired Qualifications: Master's degree in accounting or an MBACPA The duties and responsibilities listed in this job descriptiongenerally cover the nature and level of work being performed by individualsassigned to this position.
