Year End Contractor

About the Company

This boutique property business is involved in the domestic tourism sector - as a result of the lifting of restrictions - business is booming and they are going on an acquisition trail.

To assist the CFO they are looking for a contractor for 3-6 months to assist with the year end process, including the management of the audit. There will also be some due diligence work required depending on the work load. The business is Private Equity owned and the environment is fast paced, challenging and fun.

About the Role

Whilst the role reports to the CFO, the environment in this business is very colligate. The role has come about due to the acquisition and a need to uplift the reporting process.

Duties

The main focus of the role will be providing assistance to the completion of the year end financial reports - however you will also be involved in the following;

• Liaising with business stakeholders to help their understanding of the results;
• Working with the external auditors - you will run the audit process;
• Looking for opportunities to improve the year end process;
• Ensuring the business follows the new accounting standard - (IFRS 9 AND 16); and
• Improving the month end reporting process.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will be CA qualified with a background in big 4 or mid tier. Prior experience running a year end process and dealing with the auditors will be required.

An audit background will be essential. Experience of Power BI and financial modelling skills will be an advantage.
