The Business Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

ICG COS Business Analyst will work as part of the COS change management team supporting all projects that are targeted to augment the operational efficiency and automation of COS. The role specifically targets the Credit Risk related book of work (BOW). Credit Risk approval and related activities represent the highest opportunity for increased automation in the end-to-end onboarding workflow. The role combines working on internal business and functional requirements as well as promoting best practices within operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
  • Author Business and Functional Requirements Documents (BRD's / FRD's) for ISG COS and Credit related applications
  • Liaise with COS operations, Credit Risk users, and technology teams on capturing of requirements
  • Elaborate requirements and provide support to multiple IT development teams in the implementation of requirements
  • Map data requirements between internal systems
  • Coordinate multiple stakeholder groups to develop and deliver milestones
  • Present findings to senior stakeholders
  • Create and maintain key requirements artifacts
  • Business process flows (ideally in BPMN 2.0 format)
  • Data mappings
  • Identify all key deliverables and milestones within initiatives
  • Promote regional awareness in all regions and businesses of the projects
  • Work within and alongside COS and Credit Analysis / Officers to ensure utilization of developed methods and processes
Documentation Management
  • Structure and develop PowerPoint presentations for senior management
  • Prepare handover document to operations at project implementation stage
Business Process Management
  • Champion change management / socialize with senior management
  • Identify optimization opportunities in process; challenge existing processes and requirements
  • Liaise with Credit Risk platform and other support systems personnel in relation to operational requirements, functional requirements definition and enhancement roll out
Developmental value
Business Analysis, Process Re-engineering, Process optimization.
  • 2 + years' business analyst experience (preferably in banking)
  • 1+ Years' experience with functional requirements (beyond business requirements); attention to detail a must
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to communicate at all levels
  • Subject matter expertise in Credit Risk is a huge advantage
  • Strong Excel user required; vba skills an advantage
  • Comfort in preparing Power Point presentations to different audience levels
  • Experience working directly with IT developers AND end users
  • Strong time management and task management skills; project management experience a plus (but business analyst skills take priority)
  • MS Visio experience with BPM process flows a plus
  • Working understanding of IT systems and their components
  • Experience with rules based requirements a huge plus - including comfort with logical statements (coding experience, not required but helpful)
  • Functional familiarity with API's
  • Technical experience (coding) not required, but may be a plus
Competencies:
  • A proven track record with at least 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in change management/re-engineering and / or operations line
  • Track record in execution and delivery within deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • University degree in Math, Science, Management Science, Operations Research or equivalent (experience more important than degree)
