Job Description Summary:

The Crop Protection Auditing Specialist, leads the CORTEVA Audit business standards (Internal and External-QuEHST), within a geographical area, to ensure Corteva's compliance with EH&S, regulatory and quality requirements of Crop Protection products for the Corteva Crop Protection business.

This role has responsibility and authority to ensure that management systems related to EH&S (only External Manufacturing) and quality are implemented and followed at all times.

Working in conjunction with Supply Chain regional leaders, regional commercial unit leaders, External Manufacturing Production and Operations Leaders and local Regulatory managers, leads the implementation of corporate standards, business processes in external manufacturing sites.

Job Description:

  • Assist in Regional and global audit planning across the Corteva organization including participating in formal risk analysis and logistics forecasting.
  • Lead independent internal audits at Corteva locations regionally including all Research, Operations, External Manufacturing facilities and others as determined by business needs. Audits include diverse functions and operations.
  • During audits, provides expert consulting and provides best practice comparisons to continuously improve effectiveness of our quality and compliance systems.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Corteva employees worldwide to facilitate audit planning, audit execution, and audit follow-up.
  • Prepare professional, objective, and concisely written audit reports to site management and key stakeholders across the Corteva organization.
  • Ensure quality and consistency of audit approach at all regional locations; provide accurate interpretation of both internal and external requirements.
  • Ensure that internal documentation and records provide compliance evidence to standards, regulatory requirements, and certifications.
  • Assist with the development of critical internal documentation and processes by providing real-time audit data and observations to Quality and Compliance teams.
  • Participate on ad hoc teams developing quality, stewardship, regulatory strategies for Corteva.
  • Develops and implements enhancements to the auditing and reporting tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Report quality and compliance metrics, including trend analysis, risk analysis, impact analysis and key performance indicators to Quality and Operations Leadership for systemic alignment of strategic improvements. Provides trends and focus areas with recommendations to reduce any identified gaps.
  • Measure, monitor, and communicate Quality performance and certification data for external manufacturers. Ensure that investigation, documentation, and leveraged learning occurs of Quality incidents at external manufacturers. Track these incidents and ensure use of incident reporting per guidelines.
  • Mine audit report data for opportunities to best manage risk. Escalate issues as appropriate through the EH&S BRR process.
Qualifications

  • Minimum Master's degree in Chemistry or Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 10 years in agrochemical or chemical industry experience, with diversity of experiences in plant, laboratory, and other work processes; 5 years of experience with EHS or Quality compliance management systems.
  • Experience with Auditing, Issues Management and demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Experience with leadership roles in EHS or Q management systems.
  • Experience in QC, ERP systems would be added advantage.


Trainings:

  • Lead auditors training for E,H,S or Q would be added advantage
