The Organisation:
A large, respected and highly dynamic services organisation is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant. You will be working for an organisation with a strong revenue stream, coupled with impressive clients across the resources sector. This opportunity has come about as an experienced team member is changing roles internally. Due to the critical nature of the role, there is an opportunity for you to join immediately on a 4 to 6 month basis with potential for the role to convert to a permanent position, particularly if you are proactive, efficient and able to build good relationships with the accounting team. You will be reporting into a manager who is incredibly experienced, commercially minded and supportive of his staff.
The Position:
This position will have accountability for the end of month accounting processes, including journals, accruals, on costs, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end consolidations. You will also be responsible for the end of month reporting and some tax compliance. This role will also provide you with the scope to work extensively in Excel to enhance your Excel skills. This is a busy role with processes that have yet to be fully automated.
Your Profile:
To truly succeed and thrive in this exciting position, you will need to be disciplined, focused and results-driven! It will be highly advantageous if you are CPA/CA qualified. Although this position will be working on SAP, this is not a major requirement. However, as much of the work is done in Excel, you should have strong Excel skills and be comfortable working across multiple spreadsheets and using vlookups and pivot tables. You should be an excellent team player and enjoy having the flexibility and adaptability to work in an environment that is not overly structured. Good attention to detail will be critical.
