Reporting to our Financial Controller, the Accounting and Reporting Manager will work in a hybrid management and financial accounting managerial role. Your main responsibility will be overseeing the month & year end close processes, preparation of statutory accounts and monthly management accounts to provide relevant and timely financial information to key stakeholders. You will also oversee the implementation of process improvement to respond to the growing needs of the business.

You will have a strong financial accounting background along with outstanding analytical skills and ability to build rapport, you are a highly influencing finance partner and are keen to join a business at a key point of their development & transformation and be a part of the success story. We are seeking a self-motivated, passionate Finance professional that boasts excellent communication skills and a strong dedication for improvements and is keen to be part of a dynamic finance team.

Your role -
  • Compile and analyse financial information to prepare monthly Management Reports as well as financial statements including annual statutory accounts in accordance with relevant laws and standards.
  • Be the "Go-to" person for technical accounting advice and implement best practice accounting policies and procedures for Finance.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and enforcement of finance policies and procedures.
  • Establish and monitor a robust controls environment.
  • Ensure account reconciliations are performed and reviewed in accordance with policy.
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
  • Key contact person for external audits and coordination of the audit process, including preparation of all audit requests and ensure timely communication of audit issues, if any.
  • Play a leadership role in the implementation of the finance department strategy.


About you -
  • You have a history of inspiring and developing strong Finance teams in a complex organisation, with a proven track record of results
  • CA / CPA qualified with a tertiary accounting qualification.
  • Experience in working with SAP is necessary and preferably some experience TM1 will be highly desirable.
  • Track record in driving finance business process improvement and ensuring end to end process simplification will be an advantage.
  • Previous retail experience would be highly regarded and exposure to big 4 audit process would be desirable.
