Our client a medium sized federal government department is migrating its IT environment to Microsoft 365 and Azure, this has required the need for an experienced Project manager to Manage the migration and support staff in the adoption of the new tool suite. The candidate will need to have skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools in order to assist the department6 in the identification of the most appropriate tools to enhance the delivery of their operations.

To be successful in this position, you will have vast experience in end to end Microsoft 365 and Microsoft office 365 migration and integration, You will have a strong understand of the Microsoft tool suite, coupled with highly effective negotiation and communications skills, be a natural problem solver. You will possess a strong ability to prioritise and deliver high quality results.

Your Main Responsibilities?

- Project planning and management of cloud migration activities in accordance with the agreed schedule and budget
- Working with internal IT technical resources and external vendors engaged to migrate the department to the cloud
- Knowledge transfer to the department's technical, administrative staff and managers
- Assisting business areas across the agency with change management and adoption activities, including drafting procedures and training material
- Managing vendors, including Digital61 and Microsoft
- Project reporting to the Cloud Implementation Board on a monthly basis regarding schedule, scope, risk, issues and budget
- Engaging with business subject matter experts
