We seek an experienced accountant with a minimum of 2-3 years recent tax experience in a Public Practice to assist with the preparation of income tax returns, financial statements, BAS statements and other accounting activities as required.
Our practice uses Xero Practice Manager & Xero Workpapers as our practice management software and only applicants with experience and working knowledge of these systems should apply.
Responsibilities, Skills and Experience required
We offer a modern beachside office (once able to be reopened) and a friendly team environment. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the role will require the individual to work remotely from home until the office is reopened.
This is a full-time position, remuneration will be commensurate with your experience.

Responsibilities, Skills and Experience required
- Minimum 2-3 years work experience in public practice
- Relevant accounting qualifications, with knowledge of Australian Income Tax and GST
- Must be proficient in Xero (XPM,Workpapers), QBO, MS Excel, Receiptbank, Practice Ignition
- Experience in preparation of full set of financial statements
- Tax compliance for all entities including Trusts, Companies, SMSF, partnerships and individuals
- Experience in preparation of BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, FBT preparation
- Liaising with the ATO and ASIC on behalf of clients
- Preparing strategic advice for client meetings
- Identifying and provide strategic tax advice on various investments and business structures for new businesses and tax restructuring opportunities with the existing clients
- Manage your own portfolio of clients
- Good time management and interpersonal skills
