Hays are recruiting for a Finance Manager for a charity based in Central Bristol.
Your new companyHays are currently working alongside a not for profit charity here in Bristol to recruit a new Finance Manager on a permanent basis. The client, who has links into the education sector are committed to making a difference and they are now in need of someone with a strong financial background to join them on that journey.
Your new role
Forming part of the finance team you will help deliver the strategic objectives of the business by managing an efficient and effective finance operations team. You will aid the senior leadership team in decision making responsibilities by providing reports, preparing forecasts as well as year end analysis. You will also aid in budget setting as well as getting involved in both internal and external audit. By managing a small team you will help contribute to the strategic direction of the business as they continue their mission of making a difference across the city.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be a qualified accountant with significant experience in financial accounting. Ideally you will have charity or public sector experience and be looking for a new and exciting challenge. You should have strong technical abilities and be a proficient user of different accounting packages.
