Hartley People are currently looking for a qualified Accountant for a part time role based in Wexford.  This is to cover a 7 month maternity contract.  The Accountant will be responsible for all matters of financial control and will be reporting to the Managing Director. Responsibilities Overall management of the finance function within the company Manage the maintenance, implementation and review of appropriate internal financial controls, procedures and systems Oversee accurate and appropriate recording of transactions Preparation of monthly management accounting information Monthly general ledger account reconciliations, journals and accounting ledger management Year end management and control including liaising with external accountants in the annual audit process Financial forecasting Monthly payroll Preparation of various statutory returns including VAT, PAYE/PRSI, CSO Cash flow management and liaise with bank as required Manage, train, supervise and develop one other member of the team Assist and support colleagues with adhoc tasks Requirements Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA At least 4 years PQE preferably working in industry Strong excel skills Excellent attention to detail with problem solving skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong planning and organisational skills Flexible attitude to perform tasks required by the business Hartley People Recruitment work to the highest ethical standards within our industry and we value the trust that you place in us when you send your CV.
