Financial Accountant

The Bristol based financial accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day financial accounting, working within the finance department in measuring and reporting financial and non-financial information together with assisting in improving controls and procedures.

Description

The financial accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Production of management and statutory accounts and liaising with the auditors
• Preparation of annual financial budgets
• Production of quarterly management accounts
• Financial reconciliation of stock across the group
• Production of monthly income forecasts
• Monthly reconciliations such as Debtor and Creditor reports
• Preparation of subsidiary VAT returns
• Review the work of the trainee accountant and accounts assistant.

Profile

The ideal candidate will be:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified

Will have:

• Strong technical accounting background (ideal through audit experience)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent excel skills
