Audit Manager

Audit Manager - Bristol

We are currently looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join an Accountancy Practice based in Bristol, Avon.

As an Audit Manager, you will be:

• Manage a portfolio of corporate services clients - for whom we provide both audit and non-audit services. Planning, review and completion/reporting of audits - reporting directly to partner whilst on some larger groups may be working alongside one of the senior audit managers
• Manage a portfolio of Business services clients - for whom we provide non-audit services. Key point of delivery for vast majority of services delivered to these clients
• Responsible (with appropriate systems training of course) for the management of our own work in progress and billing on the above portfolio(s)
• Day to day role would involve the coaching/training of individuals but I would expect that in time you would have an appraiser role for some of our team members
• Support on special projects for both on an ad hoc basis for the above clients
• Being the key point of contact/relationship manager for these clients
• Supporting office partners and directors in business development/marketing activities - both direct targeting and networking/developing own profile.
• The split of audit to non-audit work would be very broadly 50:50

Skills and experience needed for the Audit Manager:

• CA/ ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Post-qualification experience in audit and a good working knowledge of compliance, regulation and bespoke audit and accounts software
• Full, clean driving licence, plus unrestricted access to a car (which must be insured to cover business use and the transport of passengers)
• Professional, articulate and confident in approach
• Capable of quickly building rapport with clients
• Corporate tax awareness
• Previous experience of managing and developing people
• An ambitious, technically able and strategically-minded team leader
