Senior Accountant

Your new firmA small but well established modern firm of Chartered Accountants based in Manchester City Centre are seeking a recently qualified accountant to join the firm as a Senior Accountant. The firm provide both compliance and outsourcing services to a range of SMEs and OMBs across the North West. This is a progressive opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to take ownership on a portfolio of clients.

Your new role
As a Senior Accountant you will be allocated your own portfolio of clients consisting of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies under the audit threshold. You will be responsible for scheduling the work, delegating and reviewing work of a junior member of the team, advise on tax planning opportunities, finalising and submitting the accounts and tax compliance and liaising with the clients on a regular basis. Your work will include tax and accounts compliance along with outsourcing work such as VAT, cashflow forecasting and management accounts.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are seeking an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant who has a proven track record of working within an independent firm of accountants preparing year end statutory accounts to FRS102 standard. As you will take ownership of your portfolio of clients you must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and previous examples of liaising with clients on a regular basis. The firm utilise a variety of cloud based softwares so prior experience of Xero and Quickbooks would be advantageous.
