Job Description

There is an urgent need for a Senior Financial Analyst in the Alpharetta, Georgia area for one of Robert Half Finance and Accounting clients. You will provide strategic analyses and recommendations while being directly involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (quarterly forecasts, monthly outlooks, and annual planning). You will deliver variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. The Senior Financial Analyst will be in charge of driving world class strategic and financial planning methods, developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, and building long-range operating plans to support business initiatives. This position is directly responsible for operationilizing and cultivating data-driven planning processes and improving upon monthly and quarterly reporting. Major responsibilities

- Gather and oversee forecasting reports

- Sanction effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

- Direct weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P&L forecasting

- Trace monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources

- Determine performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

- Demonstrate monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

- Collaborate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

- Grasp and define internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

- Join forces with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation and prioritization

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, MBA preferred

- Proficiency in simplifying complex problems and building solutions

- 5+ years experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required

- Outstanding presentation skills

- Prior knowledge in financial reporting tools

- Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis
