Position Summary:
The Loan Accounting Specialist is responsible for executing a variety of activities related to monetary transactions and loan data integrity in the Bank's Core Loan System. Duties include, but may not be limited to;
Job Duties:
Act as Subject Matter Expert of the Core Loan Accounting system and associated loan account and general ledger transactions Mitigate risks by implementing and/or managing appropriate controls within the Loan Accounting responsibilities Review, research, finalize and send the monthly SBA Colson 1502 Report Conduct escrow analysis and related payment processes Document, submit and follow up on Cases to the Core Application vendor and execute solutions provided Review and interpret loan documentation, consider hypothetical terms and determine booking strategies Board and/or uploads consumer and commercial loan data accurately and timely to the CORE loan accounting system in accordance with approved request, policies and procedures May perform Quality Assurance of loans boarded to the Core loan accounting system by other personnel Research data issues and perform accurate and timely maintenance as determined Manually post payments Provide subsequent advance funding through wire transfer, account credit or official check Process payments and advances on participation accounts and ensure Bank loan records match to agent/lead bank(s) Send notices to and communicate directly with participants Provide internal customers with routine loan account inquiries / research Review daily reports to ensure appropriate transactions, exception resolution, etc. Ensure proper source documentation is received for system maintenance and filed appropriately Provide Loan Payoff Quotes Process timely and accurate resolutions to credit disputes, corrections and inquiries Process credit verification requests Prepare Amortization schedules and/or recalculation spreadsheets Perform change management for special loan account requirements Share knowledge and expertise with team members Quickly escalate concerns as appropriate
