We are seeking a strategic, collaborative and innovative Financial Analyst who is ready to take their career to the next level. In this role you will be a key asset in the future growth of the company. This individual will be participating in a project to transition the business to a new ERP system. They will provide financial analysis and strategic support to the Finance & Manufacturing departments, including analysis of current ERP information, review of proposed ERP system processes, and eventual data migration to new ERP system and ongoing maintenance. This function acts as the analytical engine to provide insights and support 'optimal' business decision making.

  • Analysis of current ERP product costing information to determine gaps versus the proposed future state, including working with key stakeholders to resolve open issues
  • Participate in workshops to understand new ERP system features and data requirements in order to setup an optimal costing system
  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and data migration into new ERP system before go-live date
  • After Go-Live, provide ongoing product costing process support including annual costing updates, maintaining system data integrity, and variance analysis with process owners.
  • As required, support Product Development team with projected manufacturing costs for new products slated for production.

Secondary Responsibilities
  • Collect, report, and analyze data related to non-financial metrics such as;
  • On time delivery
  • Returns, credits, scrap, and rework
  • Headcount and turnover
    • Work with key internal stakeholders to analyze above data and contribute to improvement plans.
    • Support Procurement team with analysis of vendor quotations for new and existing materials and/or parts.
    • Support corporate finance team with annual budget preparations.
    • Participate in projects related to standardization of data collection processes, calculation of metrics, and reporting.
    • Support cross functional improvement projects by analyzing and reporting metrics from other GDA operations

    • Team player with strong worth ethic and flexibility
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Knowledge of SAP is an asset
    • Accounting/Budget/Forecast experience
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to work within a team structure as well as independently
    • Broad business knowledge and a good understanding of business best practices
    • Must be able to manage projects across multiple departments with limited supervision
    • High work energy and self-motivation
    • University degree with emphasis in Finance, Accounting or Economics,
    • Experience of 3 - 5 years in Manufacturing Finance and/or Accounting role (minimum) and,
    • CPA Designation
