THE COMPANY:
This business is an established Leeds based SME operating in the financial services sector. The company have a long standing reputation in their field, and as a result are the UK market leader in this sector.
The business are now looking to hire driven and ambitious Head of Finance to report directly to the CFO, who will oversee the finance team, and take a leading role in the financial planning and analysis for the business.
THE JOB:
The role will be the number two in the finance team, and reporting to the CFO will take responsibility for the following key duties:
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparation of annual statutory financial accounts plus one set of consolidated accounts
Managing weekly cashflow forecasting process
Managing a full external audit, with statutory auditors, to finalise statutory accounts
Forecasting and budgeting experience including the creation of cost and income models
Preparation of monthly financial analysis pack including detailed actual to budget variance analysis
Creation of new, or use of existing, financial management information to drive decision making and spend approval
Managing end to end sales invoicing process
Managing 2 Assistant Accountants
THE PERSON:
The successful candidate will:
Be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified - Essential
Have a minimum of 5 years post qualified experience in a relevant role - Essential
Have a knowledge of FRS 102 - Desirable
Have the ability to build strong internal and external relationships within a fast paced and busy environment - Essential
