Our client is a financial services provider operating within the European insurance market. Due to continued growth across Europe, they are seeking a Group Tax Compliance Accountant to to join their Group Tax Team based in Dublin's IFSC. The Group Tax Compliance Accountant will be primarily responsible for assisting with tax compliance and tax accounting functions for the group. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to assist with a wide range of tax obligations including corporate income tax, VAT, FATCA/CRS, MDR, CbCR, policyholder taxes, transfer pricing and some US taxes.


• Assisting with Irish and European tax compliance.
• Preparation of consolidated IFRS current and deferred tax accounts.
• Coordinating with the Group Tax Controller to produce IFRS provisions for current and deferred taxes and any related footnotes to the financial statements for Ireland and the UK and on a group-wide consolidated basis
• Assisting with global FATCA/CRS and other information reporting (MDR, CBCR).
• Ensuring tax accounting across all tax heads is accurate and all differences between the accounts and the returns are understood
• Supporting Irish, UK and Luxembourg VAT compliance and strategy.
• Drafting of tax policies and documentation.
• Carrying out research for various global tax obligations.
• Providing support in the preparation of tax accounts for financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with managing tax audits and seeking rulings on certain tax positions.


• Recently qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) and/or should have a recognized tax qualification (e.g. AITI or similar) or in the process of completing these exams
• Experience working in a Corporate Tax Department in a "Big 4" accounting firm or within an in-house tax/accounting department would be a distinct advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years work experience, preferably in the financial or professional services industry
• Strong interpersonal skills, drive and enthusiasm
• Demonstrable knowledge of tax regime in Ireland (or another relevant EU jurisdiction) - particularly CT and VAT.
• Excellent computer skills especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of insurance tax compliance preferred but not essential.
