The Business
Citizens Advice County Durham are currently seeking to recruit a temporary Head of Finance. The purpose of the role is to take responsibility for the sound financial management of the charity, partake in key procurement contract reviews, negotiations and also manage the outsourced IT contractors. The charitable organisation is undergoing a period of substantial growth and change and this is an exciting opportunity to be involved in.
The role is focussed on taking a strategic lead on maintaining financial matters concerning the organisation by providing 'real time' support and analysis and be a trusted adviser that adds value that will contribute to decision making.
More widely the post holder will work in collaboration with the executive team to foster innovation and excellence in service delivery and work to ensure that the charity remains a vibrant sustainable charity that saves and changes lives for residents.
Qualifications/Experience Required
Applicants should be experienced in accounting and/or book keeping with an associated accounting qualification (such as, ACCA, CPFA or ACA) or relevant experience in a senior financial role. Candidates will also need to demonstrate experience of operating in a charitable environment with strong IT and communication skills.
