Assistant Systems and Management Accountant - with Oracle experience
Independent safety regulator is seeking an experienced Assistant Systems and Management Accountant to support their Finance team at their Canary Wharf based offices.

This is a temporary role to start ASAP for up a year and will pay between £18.00 and £21.00 per hour dependant on experience.

The main duties of the Assistant Systems and Management Accountant will include:
Providing support to the finance team on Oracle Fusion ERP issues.
Assist in Oracle enhancements and upgrades by executing quarterly Oracle patch release user acceptance testing to identify potential issues
Where Oracle issues are identified, manage the service request process with system support provider
To proactively contribute to the continuing development of Oracle to ensure increased efficiency and effectiveness in working practices and better value for money
Assist the Management Accountant to produce timely information for budget holders and their deputies in order for them to manage their budgets and enable them to meet the organisation's objectives
Assist the Management Accountant with the preparation of monthly management accounts and expenditure reports to the organisation
Business partnering - establishing effective working relationships with managers to understand their business needs and to help with managing budgets including anticipated expenditure, accurate accruals and issues concerning financial compliance
Assist with the accurate calculation accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, actual to budget variance analysis
Assisting with the accounts payable process including the twice-weekly payment runs. Support the team in expediting accurate and timely paymentsThe ideal Assistant Systems and Management Accountant will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:
Significant experience of using Oracle Fusion ERP
Previous experience in a testing role
Good interpersonal skills: ability to communicate well and the ability to explain technical to non-specialists
Knowledge and experience of double entry bookkeeping
A self-starter with strong organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise work
Ability to work to tight deadlines
A team player with a flexible approach to work
An ability to identify risks and issues and to communicate them clearly to managers
Advanced MS Excel skills (use of VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, SUMIF, etc.)
Experience of the SmartView reporting tool
Experience with Oracle report writing and using BI tools
